She completed her MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and obtained her DNB in Cardiology from the International Centre for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Diseases, Chennai, under the National Board of Examinations.
